Worship Bulletin – July 19, 2020

Due to the extreme heat and humidity in the forecast, there is no onsite worship service this Sunday at Bethany. Watch online from home with your church family Sunday at 8:30am here. At the conclusion of the service, a replay will be available at this link to watch anytime you choose.

WELCOME!

Bethany is a church family following Jesus together.

We sing His praises. We pray in His name. We teach His Word. We love His people. We share His message. All this and more we do together because THERE IS NONE LIKE HIM.

Whether you’ve been following Jesus for years or are just getting started, we hope today you experience the good news of Jesus and discover how to take the next step on the path of following Him.

  • The Table:  Ladies, sign up today for this women’s ministry that seeks to cultivate gospel-centered community among the women at Bethany through small, one-time, informal gatherings. The goal is for each group to have about 8-10 women of different ages, life stages, and backgrounds getting together for a time to laugh, chat, and make new friends. Each Table is unique because the hostesses of each Table plan their own gathering.  Sign up for The Table online at myBethany or by contacting the church office (309-692-1755).

SONG LYRICS

His Mercy Is More

Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What love could remember no wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

I Will Wait For You (Psalm 130)

Out of the depths I cry to You
In darkest places I will call
Incline Your ear to me anew
And hear my cry for mercy, Lord

Were you to count my sinful ways
How could I come before Your throne?
Yet, full forgiveness meets my gaze
I stand redeemed by grace alone

I will wait for You, I will wait for You
On Your word I will rely
I will wait for You, surely wait for You
Till my soul is satisfied

So, put your hope in God alone
Take courage in His pow’r to save
Completely and forever won
By Christ emerging from the grave

I will wait for You, I will wait for You
On Your word I will rely
I will wait for You, surely wait for You
Till my soul is satisfied

His steadfast love has made a way
And God Himself has paid the price
That all who trust in Him today
Find healing in His sacrifice

I will wait for You, I will wait for You
Through the storm and through the night

I will wait for You, I will wait for You
On Your word I will rely
I will wait for You, surely wait for You
Till my soul is satisfied

I will wait for You, I will wait for You
Through the storm and through the night
I will wait for You, surely wait for You
For Your love is my delight

I will wait for You, I will wait for You
Through the storm and through the night

I will wait for You, I will wait for You
On Your word I will rely
I will wait for You, surely wait for You
Till my soul is satisfied

I will wait for You, I will wait for You
On Your word I will rely
I will wait for You, surely wait for You
Till my soul is satisfied

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace! how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.

Thru many dangers toils and snares,
I have already come;
‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

My Worth Is Not In What I Own

My worth is not in what I own
Not in the strength of flesh and bone
But in the costly wounds of love at the cross

My worth is not in skill or name
In win or lose in pride or shame
But in the blood of Christ that flowed at the cross

I rejoice in my Redeemer
Greatest treasure Wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him no other
My soul is satisfied in Him alone

As summer flowers we fade and die
Fame youth and beauty hurry by
But life eternal calls to us at the cross

I will not boast in wealth or might
Or human wisdom’s fleeting light
But I will boast in knowing Christ at the cross

I rejoice in my Redeemer
Greatest treasure Wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him no other
My soul is satisfied in Him alone

Two wonders here that I confess
My worth and my unworthiness
My value fixed my ransom paid at the cross

I rejoice in my Redeemer
Greatest treasure Wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him no other
My soul is satisfied in Him alone

I rejoice in my Redeemer
Greatest treasure Wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him no other
My soul is satisfied in Him alone
