COVID-19 Updates related to Sunday Morning Gatherings
Hello Bethany Family! We are thankful to see that the COVID-19 related statistics in our community continue to trend favorably. We are also very thankful that our on-site attendance numbers continue to rise – what a great blessing! Here are a couple of updates for our Sunday service times: First: In light of the two trends noted above, we are making a change to the seating restrictions for our “Mild Precaution” service – 10:00am on Sunday Mornings. Starting this coming Sunday,…
COVID-19 Update for November 22, 2020
Greetings Bethany Family! This week the state announced Tier 3 Mitigation requirements to help address the recent surge of COVID-19 across the state. These new restrictions are intended to help suppress the spread of the virus and ensure that our hospitals do not become overrun. The state health department will be tracking positivity rates and hospital capacity metrics over a 14-day period to determine if mitigations can be relaxed, if additional mitigations are required, or if current mitigation should remain…
COVID-19 Update for November 14, 2020
Greetings Bethany Family! As Covid-19 spikes in our area we want to encourage you with another update. First, please pray for the frontline workers who serve those who are sick and hospitalized. We are so very grateful for their sacrificial labors in using their skills to serve families and our community. This is a time of great stress for many of them. Please encourage those in our church family with notes and prayers. Second, we are presently planning to continue Sunday worship…
Indoor Service Expectations
Greetings Bethany Family! We are excited to share with you that this Sunday, October 18th, we move our services back indoors! Acknowledging that there is no “perfect” plan, below is our plan to transition to indoor services. Please note that the 8:30am service is an “Elevated Precaution” service and the 10:00am service is a “Mild Precaution” service.…
An Update to VBS 2020
Good Afternoon, Church Family: We regret to inform you that VBS 2020 needs to be cancelled. After discussion and prayerful consideration, the Children’s Ministry Team along with church leadership, think that the cancellation of VBS this summer is a prudent way to proceed. The governor’s decision to extend the stay at home order through the end of May has made it very hard for the various teams that serve during VBS to do the necessary preparations for this multi-faceted ministry. Also,…
An Update to Summer Camp 2020
Dear Parents, We regret to inform you that our annual trip to Carlinville must be cancelled this year in response to our state government’s decision to extend the current stay at home order through the end of May. Right now, we are planning on returning to Carlinville next year. This summer, we are still preparing to provide spiritual instruction and fun through either a locally organized camp experience that will be held later in the summer or a week long…
Giving in Times of Need
Dear church family, May God use this time in our lives to deepen our faith in Him, strengthen our love for one another, increase our hope in Jesus’ coming and fuel our passion for His mission. We know that this world is not our home. Seasons like this one remind us all the more that this world is very broken and passing away. We await a future day when we will be free from sin, sickness, heartaches, troubles and unbelief.…
