Compassion Ministries

Compassion Ministries

Compassion Ministries at Bethany Baptist Church exist as part of our mission to glorify God by proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and preparing His people to worship Him forever.

Our Lord Jesus Christ had compassion on people. He touched them and helped many who had physical needs, healing them and showing them love and care. These acts of compassion glorified God and showed His character with the intent of pointing to our greatest need, that of deliverance from our sin. All of Jesus’ life culminated in the ultimate act of compassion: dying on the cross as a substitute for our sins and being the Savior of all those who would place their faith and trust in Christ for payment for their sins.

Likewise, Bethany Baptist Church desires to care for people and touch them physically. This includes people inside Bethany, in our community, and in our world.

Benevolence and Financial Counseling

Bethany offers limited financial assistance to those in need, both inside and outside the church. In addition, financial counseling is available.

Car Care

If you know your way around a garage, we would love to have you join us at the next Car Care Day. It’s one day of serving where the senior citizens and single women of the church can have their cars winterized, serviced and repaired at no cost. We perform the work on the cars in the Compassion Building, just behind the church (all maintenance is by appointment only).

Bethany assists with cleanup and recovery in the event of national disasters around the country. Contact us if you’re interested in helping, too.

Physical Assistance

Request help or volunteer to provide physical assistance and handyman help for the elderly, widows, and single women with no family in our church.
