Tuesday and Wednesday

The team has been busy!  Tuesday morning we planted 500 saplings at Hope Alive Property.  This is a forestation project where the future lumber will be sold to assist the ministry. In the afternoon we were able to visit families who had children enrolled in Hope Alive USA sponsorship program.   One group headed to a family that lived in a group of 6 huts.  One hut was the kitchen, one was for the girls room, one for the grandmother, two…

Sunday and Monday Update

Our internet access so far has been very unreliable and very slow. We will update the blog as often as we can. We had a wonderful Sunday. We started out with church services at a local church plant next to Gulu University. They were very welcoming of us even as it was raining and very few people attended. After that we had a wonderful time heading back to Catharines to prepare for Monday teaching time. We are now back at…

Arrived in Gulu, Getting organized for our first Saturday Club

We arrived in Gulu about 4 hours behind schedule, but we we able to unpack and get things in order for the first Saturday Club for the next morning. We’re staying at the Dove’s Nest Hotel. Please pray for our time here that we will prepared and effective with all the people we will meet!

Arrived in Entebbe/Kampala!

Morning all! Thank you for praying and supporting our Uganda 2019 GO trip. Our trip so far has been very smooth. Our Visa applications were all in the computer system when we went through Immigration, and we did not have to pay the $50 fee again, so that was wonderful. We’re currently having breakfast at Humura Hotel in Kampala, getting ready for the day drive north to Gulu.
