COVID-19 Update for November 14, 2020

Greetings Bethany Family! As Covid-19 spikes in our area we want to encourage you with another update. First, please pray for the frontline workers who serve those who are sick and hospitalized. We are so very grateful for their sacrificial labors in using their skills to serve families and our community. This is a time of great stress for many of them. Please encourage those in our church family with notes and prayers. Second, we are presently planning to continue Sunday worship…

Indoor Service Expectations

Greetings Bethany Family! We are excited to share with you that this Sunday, October 18th, we move our services back indoors! With this move, there is much to consider and our leadership has prayed for months now over how to best make this transition. Acknowledging that there is no “perfect” plan, below is our plan to transition to indoor services. Please note that the 8:30am service is an “Elevated Precaution” service and the 10:00am service is a “Mild Precaution” service.…

Songs Lyrics for Drive-In Church

Come Thou Fount Come Thou King Verse 1 Come Thou Fount of ev’ry blessing Tune my heart to sing Thy grace Streams of mercy never ceasing Call for songs of loudest praise Teach me some melodious sonnet Sung by flaming tongues above Praise the mount I’m fixed upon it Mount of Thy redeeming love Verse 2 O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be Let Thy goodness like a fetter Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee…

Congregational Song

Dear Church Family, We all miss many activities during this pandemic, but as followers of Jesus, one activity we miss most is singing together. Over the 10 days, we’re doing something special called: Break the Silence.  We would like to create a video mix of our entire church (pastors, leaders, staff and YOU) singing together. We’d love for you to join! Here’s how: Video record yourself in landscape/horizontal view with headphones in singing along to 10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman in the video or audio on…

An Update to VBS 2020

Good Afternoon, Church Family: We regret to inform you that VBS 2020 needs to be cancelled. After discussion and prayerful consideration, the Children’s Ministry Team along with church leadership, think that the cancellation of VBS this summer is a prudent way to proceed. The governor’s decision to extend the stay at home order through the end of May has made it very hard for the various teams that serve during VBS to do the necessary preparations for this multi-faceted ministry. Also,…

An Update to Summer Camp 2020

Dear Parents, We regret to inform you that our annual trip to Carlinville must be cancelled this year in response to our state government’s decision to extend the current stay at home order through the end of May. Right now, we are planning on returning to Carlinville next year. This summer, we are still preparing to provide spiritual instruction and fun through either a locally organized camp experience that will be held later in the summer or a week long…

Giving in Times of Need

Dear church family, May God use this time in our lives to deepen our faith in Him, strengthen our love for one another, increase our hope in Jesus’ coming and fuel our passion for His mission. We know that this world is not our home. Seasons like this one remind us all the more that this world is very broken and passing away. We await a future day when we will be free from sin, sickness, heartaches, troubles and unbelief.…

A Note of Encouragement from Pastor Ritch

My dear church family, How I miss seeing you! How good it will be when we can join together face to face again to worship our great Savior. I pray that I never take that joy for granted. For some the impact of the present distress is fairly minor at this point. For others it is having devastating impact. Some are out of work. Some who own businesses are deeply distressed. Some work in health care and are laboring on…
