To WIN people to a saving knowledge of Jesus

Bethany Baptist Church (BBC) is committed to helping others in the Peoria area and around the world hear about a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Our desire in everything we do is that others would learn that God loves them greatly but their sin keeps them from knowing and experiencing that love. It is our privilege to tell of Christ’s power to redeem each person out of that separation from God and draw them into a close, personal relationship with Himself.

Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8

To BUILD them into mature disciples of Christ

Bethany Baptist is committed to growing fully devoted followers of Christ through the practical teaching and application of God’s Word. Through our pastors’ teaching, through the Adult Bible Communities, and through the personal discipleship ministry, you can learn how to understand and apply the truth of God’s Word to your life.

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:…unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ… Ephesians 4:12-13

To EQUIP them for their ministry in the church and their life mission in the world

There are hundreds of lay leaders serving in ministry every week at BBC. These Christians are using their God-given gifts, talents and abilities to serve our church family as well as our community. Our church and the Peoria area have been encouraged through the sacrifice and love of this team of people. In a growing church, there are countless and ever-expanding opportunities to serve God and others in ministry.

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another… I Peter 4:10

To PLANT healthy churches

We see the local church as God’s method for fulfilling the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. Our desire is to see healthy churches planted that influence the world for Christ. A few years ago, Bethany Baptist birthed Living Hope Community Church in Bartonville, Illinois. We praise God for this church as we trust God for more opportunities to plant churches.
